Responsible Sourcing Intern – Supplier Management Support Position Summary: Novelis is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support its Responsible Sourcing team in managing supplier relationships and ensuring alignment with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) priorities. This internship offers hands-on experience in supplier assessment, compliance tracking, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to Novelis’ commitment to ethical, sustainable, and legally compliant sourcing practices.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, International Business, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail is essential.
  • Interest in ESG, sustainability, and/or ethical sourcing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SharePoint or Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating suppliers against ESG criteria including sustainability, legal compliance, and ethical standards.
  • Support data collection and analysis.
  • Help maintain supplier profiles and documentation in ESG management tools (e.g., Assent).
  • Support monitoring of supplier compliance with global regulations (e.g., UFLPA, German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act).
  • Collaborate with Legal and Procurement teams to identify and mitigate sourcing risks.
  • Help coordinate communications with internal stakeholders and suppliers to promote responsible sourcing practices.
  • Participate in meetings and workshops to foster transparency and collaboration.
  • Assist in preparing KPI reports and annual ESG performance summaries.
  • Maintain organized records of supplier assessments, audit findings, and training activities.
  • Support development of training materials for suppliers and internal teams.
  • Help organize and track participation in ESG-related training sessions.
