This PRN position supports patients in both Pediatric and Adult Emergency Departments who have been identified as at-risk through suicide screening protocols. When notified of a consult, the clinician is responsible for conducting comprehensive suicide risk assessments via the Brief Suicide Safety Assessment (BSSA), developing safety plans, formulating clinical rationales for disposition recommendations, and coordinating care with on-site hospital staff. This role requires strong independent clinical judgment, comfort with autonomous decision-making during overnight hours, and the ability to respond promptly when activated.
