Damar Services is looking for a talented and motivated Crisis Response Clinician to join our team. The Crisis Response Clinician provides immediate, short-term support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This role is trained to assess, de-escalate, and stabilize individuals in crisis.

Requirements

Master’s degree required; preferably in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related human services field.
Licensure (LSW, LMHCA, or LMFTA) preferred.
2 years of experience with individuals with Intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements.
Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification.
Ability to pass and maintain Critical Moments Training (CMT) Certification.
Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
Successful completion of pre-employment physical required.

Responsibilities

Travels in and around Marion County as part of the Mobile Crisis Response team.
Mobile Response will serve in a rotating on-call and respond to crisis calls with Crisis Response Specialists.
Provides cognitive behavior therapy and motivational interviewing.
Maintains clinical case load.
Implements, coordinates, monitors, documents, and evaluates measurable treatment goals.
Interacts professionally with parents, schools, medical personnel, and other stakeholders with professionalism and the highest levels of interpersonal and customer service skills.
Serves as a member of Damar Services’ interdisciplinary team.
Utilizes strong communication and active listening skills
Implements problem solving and decision-making skills to assess situations and determine appropriate interventions.
Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas.
