About The Position

This opportunity is for full time 7pm-7:30am 3K Hire On Bonus Provides Respiratory Care modalities to patients as ordered by physicians, including but not limited to the administration of respiratory related medications, oxygen and humidity therapies, airway clearance therapy, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, according to established policy and procedure and based on accepted national standards, practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent required
  • NBRC credentialed CRT, RRT, or Registry Eligible
  • BLS and IL state license required.

Responsibilities

  • Administers various respiratory care modalities as ordered by physicians.
  • Develops, administers, evaluates, and modifies plan of care using evidence-based medicine protocols.
  • Performs and interprets blood gases, analyzing invasive and non-invasive ventilation and clinical data.
  • Assists in bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy, intubation, tracheotomy, and thoracic procedures.
  • Ensures proper selection, assembly, use, and cleaning or disposal of equipment and/or supplies.
  • Communicates effectively with physicians and other providers regarding evaluation of need.
  • Recognizes and responds to modality-related complications and communicates as such with team members.
  • Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
  • Responds timely and appropriately in emergency procedures.
  • Documents accurately and timely, and maintains departmental records.
  • Assists in orientation of newly hired employees and students.
  • Integrates patient safety principles into all aspects of care. Monitors and evaluates patient
