Requirements

Graduate of an AMA approved program in Respiratory or Cardio-respiratory Therapy ; (Minimum BS in Chemical, physical, or biological science required)
3 years clinical experience (minimum)• Current NYS RT License and active membership in the NBRC
Ethical judgement and effective communication skills required.
ACLS and BLS certification

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in a leadership role preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for Scheduling, Assignment, Training, Evaluation, & Supervision of Respiratory Therapy Therapist
Coordinates care between shifts & department
Provides pertinent information to department managers to assist in evaluating department needs & maintain or improve quality of care.
Maintains current knowledge of hospital, department & regulatory standards. Also includes responsibilities as a respiratory Therapist.
Effective communication with patients, families and staff.
