Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care.   • Accredited Program: Respiratory Therapy (Required)

  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (TT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • No prior work experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential is preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatric areas
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areas

Responsibilities

  • Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
  • Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
  • Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition.
  • Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
  • Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
