WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Performance Management Monitors the operations of a unit and provides input to the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations. Scheduling Coordinates and drafts coworker shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing coverage is available at all times. Quality Assurance Continuously monitors and assesses operational processes to assure quality and effective delivery of benefits. Resource Planning Plans for and manages equipment, supplies, and resources; ensures that appropriate staffing is in place to meet the needs of the department. People Management Activities Participates in people management activities for unit team members such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews. Performance Improvement Identifies and monitors opportunities for performance improvement of services. Workflow Monitors a structured, organized workflow to ensure departmental actions carried out consistently and accurately using a proper distribution of work. Community Outreach Conducts community outreach programs/events, such as acting as a liaison for outreach for pulmonary/respiratory support, as required. Patient Education Educates patients and their caregivers about their conditions and teaches appropriate disease management techniques, such as breathing exercises or the use of medications or respiratory equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Require d
  • Certificate (CRT Program)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Indiana

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree Preferred
  • 1 year Respiratory Therapy
