About The Position

We are seeking dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) to join our growing team in Gainesville, Florida.

Requirements

  • Active Florida Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • NBRC credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience, preferably in ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or other critical care settings
  • Candidates with home care or long-term care experience will also be considered.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hospital or critical care respiratory experience.
  • Strong communication and assessment skills with the ability to educate patients and families effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, monitor, and maintain both routine and advanced respiratory therapies and equipment, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management.
  • Perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analyses and report findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement patient-specific respiratory care plans.
  • Evaluate patient responses to therapy, recognize adverse reactions, and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, devices, and wellness management.
  • Uphold hospital and department safety standards while ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Identify and report any suspected cases of abuse or neglect in compliance with hospital policy.
