About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist - Registered (MI) is responsible for the provision of Respiratory Therapy procedures using established guidelines. Participates in patient /family education regarding disease process. Works cooperatively with all internal and external services to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited respiratory care associate degree program, the ability to meet both NBRT certification and registration requirements.
• Basic computer skills.
• Applicable state Respiratory Therapist Licensure required.
• BCLS within one month of hire and NRP certification required within 3 months hire.
• Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Health System’s Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program

Nice To Haves

• One-year respiratory care experience preferable.
