If a new graduate, will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. The Respiratory Therapist - graduate will take the skills, knowledge and clinical experience gained in school to work directly with a preceptor to build competencies in respiratory equipment, treatments, and patient assessment to provide the best and safest care to patients in the hospital setting. Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with a minimum of an Associate's Degree is required. (students anticipating MAY 2026 graduation may apply now for consideration) Must produce proof of passing the NBRC credentialing exam at minimum of CRT level prior to starting in position and have a Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the State of Wisconsin in process. Clinical experience in hospital or home care is preferred. Possesses rudimentary assessment and basic analytical skills in order to perform limited patient observations. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required within 30 days of hire. Requires interpersonal skills which involve collaborating with peers, supervisors and medical staff. Understands role of performing delegated tasks. Prefer experience with computer skills. Ability to stand and walk for up to eighty percent of work time when performing job assignments.
