If a new graduate, will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. The Respiratory Therapist - graduate will take the skills, knowledge and clinical experience gained in school to work directly with a preceptor to build competencies in respiratory equipment, treatments, and patient assessment to provide the best and safest care to patients in the hospital setting.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with a minimum of an Associate's Degree is required. (students anticipating MAY 2026 graduation may apply now for consideration)
  • Must produce proof of passing the NBRC credentialing exam at minimum of CRT level prior to starting in position and have a Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the State of Wisconsin in process.
  • Possesses rudimentary assessment and basic analytical skills in order to perform limited patient observations.
  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Requires interpersonal skills which involve collaborating with peers, supervisors and medical staff.
  • Understands role of performing delegated tasks.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to eighty percent of work time when performing job assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience in hospital or home care is preferred.
  • Prefer experience with computer skills.
