About The Position

Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care. Summary: Provides care for patients on assigned units in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areas
Registered Respiratory Therapist - FL (RT LICENSE)
Certified Respiratory Technician - FL (TT LICENSE)
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates flexibility and competency to provide patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District to a variety of patient populations.
Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance support groups and other resources.
Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community.
