Your day to day as a Respiratory Therapy Technician As a Respiratory Therapy Technician at HME Specialists, you will play a vital role in supporting our Respiratory Therapists and clinical staff in delivering superior respiratory care services. Your responsibilities will include preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting essential respiratory equipment such as oxygen systems, nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and ventilators. You will assist with patient care activities by following directives from Respiratory Therapists and ensuring compliance with stringent safety and infection control standards. Additionally, you will be involved in stocking and organizing supplies, tracking equipment delivery, and educating patients and caregivers on the proper use and upkeep of devices. With a focus on accurate documentation, you will maintain equipment use and maintenance logs while providing general support to the respiratory therapy department, contributing to a seamless and effective patient care experience. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous healthcare, DME or respiratory-related experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of respiratory equipment and terminology is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license (if travel/delivery is required)

  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Mechanical aptitude for handling and troubleshooting equipment
