Responsible for performing non-licensed clinical procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Care Coordinator or designee. The procedures include, but are not limited to: Incentive Spirometry, Simple Spirometry, Sleep Lap room preparation and greeting patients upon arrival for their sleep study. Secondarily, the Respiratory Extern, when able, can assist the equipment technician by helping to distribute stock/supplies and equipment to designated areas, clean, disinfect, visually inspect, calibrate and setup biomedical and other electronic equipment, help with daily rounds to retrieve and return equipment to the Respiratory Care department. Responsible for other duties as assigned. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
