Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Intern, you will provide essential support and contribute fresh perspectives to our team, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and professional development within your chosen field. Every day you will expertly assist with projects, conduct research, learn new skills, and meticulously support daily operations, applying academic knowledge in a real-world professional setting. To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding eagerness to learn, strong work ethic, and a proactive, inquisitive demeanor, contributing to both your professional growth and our organizational goals. Assists licensed Respiratory Therapists in providing respiratory care to patients across the age spectrum (pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric), under direct supervision. This includes observing and assisting with treatments and procedures as appropriate to the intern's level of training. Cleans, disinfects, and reprocesses respiratory therapy equipment according to established protocols and infection control guidelines. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. Stocks and maintains respiratory care supply rooms and areas, ensuring adequate supplies are available for patient care. Assists with the distribution, collection, and conservation of oxygen cylinders, adhering to safety regulations. Assists licensed Respiratory Therapists during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other emergency situations, including rapid response calls, as appropriate to the intern's training and competency level. Accurately documents patient care activities and observations under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist, following established departmental procedures.
