About This Position: Full Time Day Shift 4 10-hour shifts, 5am-3:30pm Every 3rd weekend rotation Work typically 1-2 major holidays per year Location: Riley Hospital This position cleans, disinfects, assembles, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs respiratory equipment. Maintains adequate levels of supplies/equipment through inventory and ordering for the department and patient care areas. Acts as a facilitator to efficiently meet staff needs based on changing patient care demands through good communication and teamwork skills. These team members get the opportunity to support Riley Children's Hospital, University, and Methodist Hospital- all located in the downtown Indianapolis area. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Requires successful completion of accredited Certified/Registered Central Service Technician Program within 2 years of hire.
  • Requires CPR certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires basic knowledge of infection control procedures.
  • Requires the ability to work with medical gases and knowledge of safe handling.
  • Requires knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Requires ability to have basic skills with the computer and various software applications.
