The Respiratory Fit Tester is part of the Respiratory Protection Program and is responsible for performing tests to ensure tight-fitting respirators create a proper seal on a user's face, using either qualitative (pass/fail taste or smell) or quantitative (instrument-based leakage measurement) methods to confirm effective protection against airborne hazards. This role is responsible for knowledge of safety regulations like OSHA standards, strong organizational skills for record-keeping, and the ability to train workers on proper respirator use and maintenance.
