About The Position

Performs a variety of semi-skilled duties and assists in various technical fieldwork associated with the Natural Resources Department. Operates natural resource equipment, including boats, trucks, etc. This position requires the successful applicant to occasionally work weekends, holidays, and after hours. This level is considered to be an entry-level technician. This position is an on-call position; schedule and hours depend on availability of work.

Requirements

Associate of Arts Degree in Natural Resources or a closely related field OR High School Diploma/GED and three years of Natural Resources experience or experience in a closely related field OR 4 years of relevant Natural Resources experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Current Washington State Driver’s License
Current Boaters certification.
The successful applicant will regularly be required to talk and hear, frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms and occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell.
The employee may frequently be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The successful candidate will be required to have a urinalysis for drug and alcohol screening in accordance with the Tribe’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.
