About The Position

Sherrod’s Resource Sharing Coordinator reporting to the Resource Sharing & Acquisitions Manager to provide support for interlibrary loan operations. This position is responsible for processing the receipt and return of physical borrowing requests, physical and digital lending requests, and the supervision of departmental student employees.

Requirements

High school diploma
Minimum one (1) year of experience employed in a library setting
Knowledge of university organization, key personnel, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of resource sharing systems, library management software, or equivalent applications.
Knowledge of interlibrary loan workflows and procedures for both borrowing and lending.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office applications.
Ability to prioritize work while handling multiple responsibilities.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and solve problems related to interlibrary loan processes.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive patron information.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Ability to effectively supervise and train student employees.
Ability to learn new tools, workflows, and systems.
Skilled in attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a Higher Ed degree
One (1) or more years of experience in customer service
One (1) or more years' experience working with students and training/supervising the work of others
One (1) or more years' experience with interlibrary loan services
One (1) or more years' experience using electronic databases, Alma, Rapido, Worldcat, Docline, RapidILL, ShareIT, and/or OneSearch
Knowledge of U.S. copyright law compliance
