Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for Resource Managers, supporting the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold Engineering Development Complex at Arnold AFB, Tennessee. The Engineering Resource Managers will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. We are seeking highly motivated and strategic-thinking Resource Managers for Engineering and Technical roles to join our team at a premier complex of ground test facilities supporting the Department of War, the United States Air Force, and their customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, engineering, or other technically related field plus a minimum of 8 years’ progressive and relevant experience or a minimum of 12 years’ experience in a related role.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network
  • Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC

Responsibilities

  • Develop initiatives and processes to manage engineering and technical resources to meet BNH/AEDC project and customer commitments
  • Work with Branch Managers to proactively understand changes in resources and/or workload and identify technical personnel to meet the need
  • As Resource Manager in the hiring process, support candidate selection, interviews and recommendations for hire.
  • Provide recommendations for personnel actions within the discipline function related to: Project staffing
  • Engineering transfers within BNH or attrition outside the company
  • Work with line managers to understand needs of position
  • Staffing positions with qualified personnel. If qualified candidates are not available, implement a targeted training program (as necessary) to develop qualified personnel
  • Screening of applicants to assess technical aptitude, fit, and skills for the identified positions
  • Provide best qualified applicants for company hire to the Engineering Functional Manager
  • Interface with HR on all aspects of hiring from labor request submission to onboarding
  • Support Line Supervision in onboarding new hires into the workforce, as part of an overall Engineering Career Development Program and ensure appropriate mentors are identified and engaged
  • Support the BNH Flex Program to support short term needs and further technical agility and employee enrichment
  • Recommend personnel for rotations or flex assignments that would benefit AEDC, specifically geared toward the goal of long-term knowledge and retention of critical skills, including Engineering Management and/or Technical Leadership roles
  • Support development of, and participate in, engineering development modules and activities as requested
  • Assist engineers with technical career development such as advanced degree programs, professional engineer registration, technical society participation, training classes, work assignments, etc.
  • Collaborate with management personnel to develop, deploy, and deliver modules and activities for leadership development across the organization
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
