About The Position

Tempus Unlimited, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to empower children and adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the least restrictive environment. The agency, through its programs and services, encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society, including social, recreational, family and work activities. The Community Resource Supervisor is a working supervisory role that leads the Resource Department in supporting all Tempus Unlimited programs, consumers, and the broader Massachusetts community. This position provides information and referral services, oversees intake and triage for resource needs, and maintains the Zuke Resource Database. The Supervisor builds community partnerships, attends outreach events, and develops strategies to expand resource access and visibility. They manage all department activities and personnel, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards. Additionally, this role oversees the agency’s Human Rights Committee in accordance with DDS regulations. As a member of the Community Services Leadership Team, the Supervisor promotes independence, inclusion, and equity for individuals with disabilities while fostering strong community connections.

Responsibilities

  • Staff Leadership
  • Train and develop team through challenging assignments and structured objectives (e.g., intake workflow, resource database updates).
  • Provide resource materials and source documents to improve staff knowledge of community support and social determinants of health.
  • Document all resources and maintain accuracy within our database with quarterly updates.
  • Supervise daily activities to ensure positive productivity
  • Create yearly performance goals and provide regular feedback tied to department metrics (linkage success, outreach participation).
  • Operations
  • Organize priorities and workload to meet department objectives (e.g., building partnerships, intake triage, outcome tracking).
  • Develop, measure, and report meaningful key metrics,
  • Track number of active partnerships and MOUs with targets to grow
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements
  • Manage the Human Rights Committee for the agency in compliance with DDS regulations, ensuring proper oversight, documentation, and reporting of rights-related matters.
  • Communication
  • Lead and contribute to department meetings focused on KPIs and outreach calendar.
  • Liaise with other departments or agency programs (e.g., PCM, CBDS, Employment Supports) to support cross-departmental initiatives and resource sharing.
  • Serve as point of contact for all community partners.
  • Encourage and maintain bi-directional communication between staff and leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Community Engagement
  • Attend and coordinate participation in at least 3 networking/community events per month (resource fairs, SPED PAC meetings, etc.).
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with community providers, councils, libraries, and advocacy groups.
  • Develop and publish a shareable “Menu of Resources” for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other
  • Support overall mission and objectives of Tempus Unlimited by promoting independence and inclusion.
  • Act as a Mandated Reporter for all suspicions of abuse or neglect.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Services.
