About The Position

The Resort Host is a guest-facing, hands-on position responsible for day-to-day operations, guest services, light maintenance, and overall rental and property care. This role serves as one of the primary on-site representatives of Arch Ray RV Resort and plays a key part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming experience for all guests.

Requirements

  • Friendly, dependable, and service-oriented
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Schedule flexibility: “Must be available for weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call coverage.” We are very interested in someone who can work Wednesday, Friday, and Sundays with the occasional Saturday.
  • Technology comfort: “Ability to learn reservation software, email systems, and basic reporting tools.”
  • Professional demeanor: “Able to enforce rules calmly and professionally with guests.”
  • Independent work: “Comfortable working independently and making judgment calls when needed.”

Responsibilities

  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Manage reservations including booking, extending, modifying, or canceling stays
  • Welcome guests and provide clear resort orientation and expectations
  • Answer guest questions in person and over the phone
  • Respond to emails and voicemails
  • Prepare and distribute welcome packets
  • Provide resort-specific information and local recommendations (excursions, propane, events, nearby services)
  • Maintain cleanliness across the property including the office, sites, dog stations, fountain area, and common spaces
  • Perform daily walks to check for debris, trash, and overall site appearance
  • Empty trash and dog waste stations as needed
  • Assist with light housekeeping at office area and unit inspections when required
  • Enforce park rules including burn bans, pet leash policies, quiet hours, and late check-out procedures including quick communication with proper parties to keep the right departments in the loop.
  • Monitor safety concerns and report or address issues promptly
  • Assist during emergencies such as leaks, power outages, or severe weather
  • Perform or assist with basic maintenance tasks (minor plumbing, breakers, filters, fixtures)
  • Getting sites ready for rental
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure septic systems and wells are functioning properly
  • Support seasonal projects such as winterizing, and general upkeep
  • Complete daily work orders and document issues or repairs
