About The Position

GREAT ART. IT'S KINDA WHAT WE DO HERE AND WHAT WE'RE PASSIONATE ABOUT. THE OPPORTUNITY: Working collaboratively with our customers and 80+ artists makes us happy. We strive to continually stay on-trend, creating over 200,000 new designs in the last 5 years and 26,000 design modifications yearly. We're currently looking for an ultra-motivated, organized, leadership-driven individual, looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in our fast-paced creative culture. As a TEAM LEAD, this position is responsible for leading our Resort Production Artists to ensure on-time delivery of art to production, as well as the maintenance of standards within each division. This position can be onsite in Detroit Lakes, MN, or hybrid, being onsite two days/week. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, with OT as needed.

  • To effectively fulfill your responsibilities, we expect remote team members to have a reliable internet connection that meets the following minimum requirements: Download Speed: A minimum download speed of 100 megabits per second (Mbps) is necessary to ensure swift access to online resources, efficient communication, and seamless collaboration with your colleagues. We recommend 200 Mbps download. Upload Speed: Your internet connection should have a minimum upload speed of 20 megabits per second (Mbps). This speed allows for the smooth sharing of files, participating in virtual meetings, and contributing to our collaborative work environment. We recommend 50 Mbps Upload.
  • Must have both Cable and DSL for Internet Types
  • Must supply their own equipment (including but not limited to monitors, cameras, and computer accessories)
  • We recommend that employees have two monitors for work tasks
  • Please note that Chromebooks are not compatible with our systems.
  • Employee must be able to see and hear, read and write. Requires adaptability, analyzing, assessing, calculating, decision making, dependability, judgment, reading, speaking, following direction, handling multiple priorities, reasoning.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to leadership training preferred
  • 2-year or 4-year degree in Graphic Design with Adobe Illustrator proficiency preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform Design Artist responsibilities proficiently and maintain standards
  • Ensure team members are appropriately trained in the areas of job responsibility, safety, and company policy
  • Work closely with artists to field questions and concerns
  • Conduct weekly check-ins with team and report performance/attendance issues to Art Manager/Supervisor
  • Attend daily production huddle as assigned and communicate priorities back to the department
  • Understand and utilize production reports and work orders to organize and manage priorities
  • Assign and reassign work as necessary to ensure deadlines are met
  • Work with artists to ensure daily production is met
  • Work closely with other leads to uphold standards and communicate changes to art staff in a timely manner
  • Manage design updates when logos change
  • Work with Quality Control to resolve issues
  • Communicate inconsistencies in standards to the Art Manager
  • Manage employee concerns and performance issues
  • Conduct new hire, biannual performance, and yearly increase reviews with employees
  • Review processes periodically to increase efficiency
  • Conduct Payroll Sign-off and approvals for PTO/UNP requests.
