About The Position

About the Role The Material Handler plays an important role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring materials and supplies are available, organized, and handled safely on the production floor. This position focuses on maintaining material flow, supporting production needs, and keeping work areas clean, safe, and efficient. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values safety and accuracy, and works well as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are key to success in this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using scanning or tracking systems
  • Good reading comprehension and basic math skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Team‑oriented attitude with reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, operate material‑handling equipment, climb ladders, and stand or walk for the duration of the shift

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing or material handling preferred
  • Forklift experience and certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all required materials and supplies are available at the start of the shift
  • Transport, stage, load, and unload materials safely and accurately
  • Label, cover, and store materials properly in designated areas
  • Scan and track materials to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Load scrap and recyclable materials into trailers and replace containers as needed
  • Perform daily safety inspections on forklifts or other powered equipment
  • Complete required documentation related to material movement and shipments
  • Respond to production needs in a timely manner when requested
  • Follow all safety, quality, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to support operations
