Role Overview: MPI is offering a paid, part-time, Summer Internship in our Residuals Department for a current college student. As an onsite Residuals Intern at our offices in Studio City, CA, you will have the opportunity to learn firsthand how the Residuals department utilizes reporting functions, metrics, and analysis to service our participants. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled college Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field, with a 3.0 GPA or better.
  • Intermediate or higher skills in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) with a general understanding of data analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving aptitude required. Must be able to transform complex process calculation to formula.
  • Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary team as well as act autonomously as appropriate.
  • Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to handle fast-paced work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization, employers, and participants in an effective and cooperative manner.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about the financial compensation paid to the Plans for the distribution and exhibition of movies.
  • Learn about report validation and deposit allocation.
  • Assist with the creation of complex residual contribution reports for processing.
  • Gain exposure to the Residual audit process.
