About The Position

The role of the Residential Weatherization Technical Specialist is to: Support the completion of program related services to the sites to which they are assigned  Perform field service delivery functions in support of program objectives, including measures installation site pressure diagnostics site combustion safety testing field related customer service delivery of customer education coordination of work performed with the Program Coordinator ensure on-site quality, troubleshooting where directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience implementing weatherization measures preferred
  • High school degree, or equivalent
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Carry all needed tools, equipment, and materials in vehicle to perform all technician duties
  • Travel to all areas of service territory as required
  • Participate in on-going trainings as directed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • BPI certification preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver technical training to drive program performance and quality
  • Support program staff in trade ally management specific to technical implementation
  • Perform community outreach activities and other program related efforts as needed
  • Work cooperatively with the program management team to deliver program services in a timely, efficient, and thorough manner
  • Be held accountable for timeliness, thoroughness, quality, and customer satisfaction of all sites to which they provide services as well as their personal productivity
  • Report to, and is responsible for carrying out the instructions and directions of the program management team
  • Complete the work plan in a fashion to meet program productivity and quality objectives
  • Document all work performed including thorough site diagnostics, installation barriers, and energy savings measures installed
  • Communicate with the program management team as needed to complete work plan as documented
  • Identify circumstances to the program management team where work plan or site conditions conflict with program objectives and guidelines
  • Track, in coordination with the program management team all assigned jobs to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure required inventory is obtained and delivered for all required site work
  • Perform quality control of all measures being installed
  • Coordinate completion of all field paperwork to ensure all work is completed accurately and turned in a timely fashion
  • Perform field resolutions of customer complaints as directed by the program management team
  • Provide thorough customer education on work performed and next steps, detailing best available options
  • Lead field implementation manual development and management
  • Provide direct training and mentorship on program installation expectations and best practices to trade ally field staff and principals
  • Participate in outreach activities such as tabling to educate and sign up customers for available energy efficiency programs
