The Residential Transition Loan (RTL) Underwriter - Express serves a critical role in upholding Genesis Capital’s credit-first culture through rigorous risk assessment and sound underwriting principles. They are a key contributor in evaluating and underwriting real estate investment loans, including fix & flip, bridge, and construction financing. This role combines asset-level risk analysis with borrower credit assessment to ensure sound, profitable lending decisions. Ideal candidates bring strong expertise in deal-level underwriting fundamentals, borrower credit evaluation, and real estate project viability. Success in this position requires the ability to analyze complex transactions, assess renovation budgets and exit strategies, and structure loans that align with program guidelines and market dynamics. The RTL Underwriter manages a high-volume pipeline in a fast-paced environment, balancing speed, accuracy, and risk mitigation. Collaboration is essential—this role partners closely with Sales, Valuations, Construction, and Operations to deliver timely, high-quality underwriting decisions.
