As the Indirect Loan Officer, you will be responsible for examining, evaluating, and authorizing approval of member applications for automobile loans working with our Indirect Lending program of auto dealers and dealer networks. Who You Are A professional, collaborative individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as loan documents, regulations regarding collections and policy/procedures. Strong mathematical skills. Able to organize and prioritize workflow, with quick turnaround time. Focused attention to detail and accuracy. Familiar with Word, Excel, and Windows-based software. Familiar with credit union lending policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of successful loan experience in an equivalent size institution.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Combination of education, training and experience that provides knowledge and skills to perform essential functions of the job required.
  • A professional, collaborative individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as loan documents, regulations regarding collections and policy/procedures.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workflow, with quick turnaround time.

  • Familiar with credit union lending policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze credit applications from auto dealers to assess creditworthiness
  • Maintain frequent contact with participating dealers and cultivate relationships with potential dealerships.
  • Assists in auditing, funding, and booking loan contracts using the CUDL and XP systems.
  • Ensure loan packets comply prior to funding and work with dealership of any missing loan documentation.
  • Balances reports daily; handle inquiries regarding indirect loans and provide quotes to members/dealerships.
  • Available to be on call up to 14 hours a day, Monday through Saturday for any dealer needs.
  • Remain up to date with changes to program, policies/procedures as well as competitors' programs.
