About The Position

To provide individual and or family therapy according to intervention strategies approved by Agape Network and Medicaid, and DCF regulations when deemed medically necessary to be provided residential treatment services to improve to quality of life.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
  • one-year experience working with severely emotionally disturbed individuals served or individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Licensed in the state of Florida in Mental Health/Social Work/ or Marriage and Family Counseling required.
  • Computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clinical files by filing paperwork no less than bi-weekly and ensuring that all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.
  • Provide individual counseling to assigned caseload on a weekly basis.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions when deemed necessary.
  • Complete all clinical assessments and paperwork such as Biopsychosocial, Master Treatment Plans, Treatment Plan reviews, and ancillary documentation within 48 hours of contact with clients.
  • Complete state reporting documents CFARS/FARS (admission, 6 months, discharge). FASAMS (admission, quarterly, discharge). ASAM’s (admission, monthly, discharge).
  • Complete progress notes within 48 hours of face-to-face contact.
  • Submit progress notes every 48 hours from the date services are rendered.
  • Attend training, when deemed necessary, to increase clinical knowledge and best practices.
  • When appropriate renew state license and register with the Department of Health.
  • Participate in daily meetings to provide updates on progress made by individual served as well as status change to provide authorization specialist clinical information for pre-authorization and continue to stay authorization required every 7 days.
  • Comply with AHCA stipulations for TBOS and individual therapists.
  • Ensure that Medicaid is active, and the insurance provided has not changed at the beginning of each month.
  • Maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and car insurance.
  • Be a facilitator between the Agape Staff and individuals served.
  • Maintain productivity at 85% of caseload.
  • Attend supervision weekly, biweekly, monthly contingent on recommendation from Lead Therapist to no less than 1 time per month.
  • Collaborate with Lead Therapist to mitigate emergency situations that require immediate attention: (i.e., Baker Acts, Police Calls, DCF Reports, safety concerns).
  • Complete compliance training as needed to comply with licensure and DCF licensing (HIPPA, CPR, and Relias Training)
  • Check email communication daily.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Residential Manager and others.
