The Residential Program Supervisor will assist with oversight of the daily operation of a residential home for people with disabilities. Responsibilities include supervision of staff, supervising the shift, and coordinating program and staff activities to meet the needs of the people served. They will provide direct care support as needed and additional coordination of program duties as requested. People in our services may require physical assistance or accommodation. Specialized training will be provided to enhance supervision or interventions designed to address multiple disabilities which may include behavioral support or enhanced medical care. Staff will develop, implement and supervise trainings, case management requirements of the people in our services, and participation in general duties. In the absence of the Residential Manager, the Residential Program Supervisor shall provide oversight to the residential home and assist with administrative duties, such as scheduling, etc.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a direct care role.
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a direct care role.
  • Working experience in understanding the clinical needs of the people served is required.
  • A valid US driver's license and one year of driving experience is required.
  • Ability to lead and supervise staff to performance standards.
  • Conflict Resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of DDS and CARF regulations.
  • Knowledge of Behavior Management and Human Rights.
  • Ability to work as a cohesive team member with other inter-disciplinary team members including, BCBA's and nursing.
  • Ability to set priorities for self and team in alignment with departmental goals.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively, communicate expectations clearly, and establish deadlines.
  • Ability to provide Coaching and mentoring to their team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Strong writing skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to encourage employee engagement and ensure an inclusive work environment.
  • Competent in technology to include the ability to coordinate entry into a data management system, use Microsoft Office products proficiently, and records management systems.
  • Ability to be certified and maintain such certification, in PPS, PABC Tier 1 and 2, medication administration, First Aid/CPR and any other certification/training required based on program needs and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate ability to drive a 12-passenger van and/or a wheelchair van.
  • Acceptable CORI results according to Bridgewell policy.

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar supervisor/leadership role will be highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to all employees working at the program to ensure that performance standards are upheld and that all employees are working in accordance with agency requirements, mission, goals and principles.
  • Provide leadership to staff by working with the Residential Manager to create a positive work climate and a cohesive team environment.
  • Supervision of per-diem and part-time staff, including conducting supervision meetings with staff at least once a month, coaching and mentoring for skill development and addressing any disciplinary issues.
  • Ensure annual performance evaluations are completed on staff, including goals and accomplishments. Deliver evaluations timely, raising any questions or concerns to the Residential Manager.
  • Provide interim coverage for the home in the absence of the Residential Manager with support and direction from the Residential Director.
  • Assist with supervising and managing data collection.
  • Assist the Residential Manager with budget management and maintain spending within allowed limits.
  • Serve as liaison between day and residential services.
  • Communicate with on-call and management any concerns or issues that arise related to the care of the people in our services individuals, staffing concerns or general needs of the program as needed.
  • Ensure that services and documentation are maintained according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees on shift complete their shift assignments.
  • Create opportunities and provide support to the people in our services individuals in making decisions to develop their skills and foster independence.
  • Oversee all medical needs of people including monthly cycle fill order, review received medications, follow up with pharmacy if needed, print monthly medication sheets, and monitor any dietary orders if applicable.
  • Oversee all the clinical and financial needs of the people in our services by identifying needs and securing appropriate services as needed.
  • Transport people in our services as needed to and from medical, recreational and other activities outside the program.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with funding sources, community groups, families, and other service providers.
  • Monitor petty cash and maintain spending within allowed budgetary limits.
  • Monitor daily progress notes and complete monthly progress notes in electronic healthcare system.
  • Post open shifts and update the electronic scheduling system as needed.
  • Ensure that the ratio is always maintained and communicate attendance concerns to the manager.
  • Conduct weekly house meetings and follow up on people's choices and/or concerns with the Residential Manager.
  • Complete monthly vehicle safety checklist and report any safety concerns to Residential Manager or Director of Transportation/Fleet Services. Upload into electronic healthcare system.
  • Comply with Bridgewell Safety Checks Policy.
  • Complete training, become active Human Rights Officer and attend Human Rights Meetings quarterly.
  • Maintain all mandatory training certifications including but not limited to FA/CPR, OSHA, PABC, MAP, and Driver Safety (this is not an all-inclusive list) and complete in a timely manner all in-person and online mandatory assigned trainings.
  • Provide support to the Residential Manager in following up with the employees at the program and helping them schedule their in-person trainings and completing their online trainings. Maintain other additional required training and certifications required by the program.
