About The Position

To safely deliver and maintain Solid Waste roll carts. Must document deliveries and maintenance of carts. This position will also assist in the assessment of Solid Waste fees and the general day-to-day tasks of the Solid Waste Division. You can search for this position's full job description here.

Requirements

All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct & Rules of Behavior outlined in chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.
Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and procedures.
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
No experience is required; however, continuous heavy lifting will be required and must be able to use our City Works program.
Must have a valid Class-C driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Class-B CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Drive to and from destinations as assigned by Supervisor.
Ability to use City Works and input data needed for asset management and the assessment of Solid Waste fees.
Must be able to take instruction, direction, and supervision from the Supervisor and Manager.
Operate a pick-up truck with a trailer.
Perform maintenance and repairs on carts issued each day; and clean carts as needed.
Deliver education flyers when assigned.
Complete daily duties in the allotted time and in a safe manner.
The assigned truck must be kept clean and maintained to meet Division Standards.
Provide assistance and support to all department programs which effect solid waste collection.
Pick up and dispose of debris, litter control.
Load and unload carts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Have the ability to speak with residents professionally and possess excellent customer service skills.
