About The Position

Residential Service Coordinator The Residential Services Coordinator delegates tasks to direct service personnel in operation of the facilities; coordinates resident programs to assure each resident has service delivery implemented in accordance with their plan; has direct involvement with residents in relating to special, identified needs, i.e. client medications, medical appointments, etc.; ensures Spectrum of Solutions is in compliance with all ICF/HCS standards. This position is classified as exempt. The primary duty includes management of group homes, a recognized subdivision of the ICF/HCS departments of Spectrum of Solutions. On occasion will work shifts providing direct care to residents.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year experience in a residential setting
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience providing training and support to staff
  • Valid Texas Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates programmatic/medical activities of the assigned facility to assure an acceptable quality of service delivery is maintained at all times.
  • Coordinate with Case Manager/QIDP to ensure communication with parents/families and community agencies regarding client day-to-day activities, inquiries regarding mechanics of home visits, medical appointments, etc.
  • Refers communications, other than day-to-day, to professional staff.
  • In cooperation with professional staff, is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, documentation, and coordination of resident activities to comply with Individual Service Plans (ISP’s)
  • Assures that there are enough Direct Support Professionals on duty to carry out the implementation and accurate and timely documentation of the goals.
  • Instruct and direct Direct Support Professionals in the necessary transportation requirements for the consumers to receive necessary services.
  • Assures the facility, and its surroundings, are maintained in a condition of cleanliness, maintenance, and repair, to ensure compliance with ICF and HCS standards.
  • Observe and regularly monitor Direct Support Professionals in their daily interaction to ensure that respect for consumer’s rights is occurring.
  • Provide instruction and direction to ensure a continuous and active interaction with consumers that engages individuals.
