About The Position

This is a full time, Monday - Friday position. Travel throughout Queens/Manhattan/Long Island is required. This position will interface with a large and diverse workforce in order to increase competency in all regulatory based training. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills; excellent organizational & time management skills, as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to work well independently, within a team, with different departments & with various levels of staff
  • Previous experience (2+ years) working in an OPWDD setting, including knowledge of ISP’s/Life Plan’s, Staff Action Plans and other relevant service documentation

Responsibilities

  • Scanning, filing and distributing documents; creating/maintaining electronic filing systems and Data entry into various databases or Microsoft programs Word, Excel
  • Ensure all information necessary to support billing is included and appropriate
  • Contacts Care Coordination and other members of team to obtain and/or correct Life Plans as needed
  • Tracks receipt of and maintains dates when Life Plans are due and notifies/follows-up with appropriate parties
  • Maintains and monitors effective dates of Staff Action Plan and provides information to program as needed
  • Supports program staff as a liaison to Care Coordinators/Care Coordinator Supervisors and Managed Care Organizations to work out Life Plan issues and discrepancies
  • Completes billing audits to ensure compliance regulations are met and tracks/trends any issues or concerns
  • Required to become a trained certified investigator and obtain a training certification in SCIP-R or CPR/1 st Aide
