About The Position

Methodist Home for Children (MHC) provides safe, nurturing homes for children and builds stronger families across North Carolina. We partner with public agencies and raise private funds to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services that help children in crisis and prevent future harm. Our Macon County Multipurpose Home serves youth referred by the juvenile justice system—young people who need structure, support, and a chance to change their paths. Our model focuses on teaching skills, building resilience, and interrupting cycles of negative behavior through care, accountability, and compassion. We’re looking for a dedicated Program Manager to lead daily operations and ensure the home provides a safe, therapeutic environment. You’ll manage staff, budgets, and programming while fostering strong relationships with residents, families, and community partners.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth in residential or human services settings
• Prior supervisory experience required
• Direct care experience with adolescents and families

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the group home and ensure quality care for residents
• Supervise and support a team of child-care professionals
• Manage budgets and resources responsibly
• Maintain compliance with agency and licensing standards
• Build positive relationships with community stakeholders and families
