About The Position
The Residential Manager oversees daily residential operations within an ASAM 3.1 substance use treatment program, supporting team members in providing high‑quality, person-centered services to residents transitioning through step‑down care. Working closely with clinical and administrative leadership, this role helps ensure smooth operations, clear expectations, and regulatory compliance. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential services, behavioral health, or program coordination
- At least one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience in a direct care setting
- Familiarity with substance use treatment and trauma‑informed care principles
- Knowledge of DBHDS/DMAS standards and documentation practices
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to successfully complete required background and registry checks
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational oversight of the residential program to ensure safety, structure, and continuity of care
- Supervise, support, and schedule Direct Support Professionals to ensure appropriate coverage and accountability
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for resident or staff concerns and implement timely resolutions
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to align residential operations with treatment services and resident needs
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, audits, and compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, ASAM, and organizational standards
- Support admissions, medication administration oversight, drug screening, and resident engagement in scheduled services
- Conduct safety checks, facility inspections, and oversee inventory, supplies, and residential systems
- Provide crisis intervention and on‑call coverage as needed to support program stability
- Lead training and development activities for residential staff
