About The Position

The Residential Lending Team is seeking a Residential Loan Processor III to be responsible for handling complex files, responsible for the accurate setup and ordering of documentation for newly originated mortgage loans, including FHA, VA, Conforming, Conventional, ARM, Jumbo, and State Housing/DAP Programs. You will be the liaison between the loan officer, borrower, underwriter, closer and funder. You will review and prepare loan files to ensure accuracy and completion of supporting documents, as well as compliance with underwriting and investor guidelines. Your day might include: Reviewing files for instructions from the assigned Loan Processor and Loan Officer as to how files should be set up and what exhibits needs to be ordered for the processing of the file Ordering and reviewing third party documentation, including credit checks, title reports, appraisals, flood certifications, tax returns, verifications of employment/assets, condo documentation and homeowners insurance binders identifying and communicating any information that needs attention Maintaining accurate file notes and LOS data entry Organizing and reviewing documentation to clear loan conditions based on authority Understanding and following compliance regulations according to WSECU Operating Procedures and Investor Guidelines, in addition to federal and agency regulations Responsible for sending out Notices of Incomplete file to members in a timely manner Consistently performing duties with attention to detail and with a sense of urgency and accuracy Contributing to a positive work environment by adhering to WSECU’s Code of Conduct and daily representing a “can-do” attitude Acting as a change agent to continually improve the service, quality and efficiency of the Residential Lending Department Performing other duties/tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of mortgage processing experience
  • Current working understanding FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, WSHFC programs
  • Ability to obtain NMLS registration
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex mortgage loan file scenarios
  • Ability to balance a pipeline of purchases and refinances
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to professionally communicate with staff and membership
  • Proficient in standardized software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience and efficiency with loan origination systems and real estate calculators
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
