The Residential Instructor is responsible for creating a nurturing and positive learning environment for clients, developing strategies to help them cope with daily living situations, and facilitating their independent performance. Key duties include implementing Individual Plan of Care/Follow-Along Plans, monitoring clients' medical, physical, and behavioral changes, administering medication (once certified), and assisting with medical appointments. The role also involves meal planning and preparation, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the residential property and vehicle, managing petty cash and client funds, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and confidentiality. Instructors are expected to conduct themselves professionally, participate in required training, and facilitate community integration for clients.
