About The Position

Residential HVAC Lead Installer (New Construction) Mountain Air Arden, NC | Full-Time Lead. Build. Make an Impact. What You’ll Do Take the lead and make every install count: Lead residential HVAC installations for new construction projects Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and indoor air quality (IAQ) systems Read and interpret blueprints, load calculations, and installation plans with confidence Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes Train, coach, and mentor apprentices and junior installers Communicate clearly with homeowners and builders to explain systems and answer questions Maintain accurate job documentation including materials, progress, and completion notes Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized Troubleshoot challenges in the field and deliver effective, timely solutions What Success Looks Like You lead by example—setting the standard for quality, efficiency, and professionalism Your installs are done right the first time and pass inspection with confidence Your team looks to you for guidance, support, and development You create a positive experience for both customers and builders Safety, organization, and accountability are part of your daily routine What You Bring 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (new construction preferred) Leadership experience or readiness to step into a lead role Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and installation best practices Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents EPA Certification (required) Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions Physical Requirements This is a hands-on leadership role that includes: Working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, etc.) Climbing ladders and working in elevated or confined spaces Lifting and carrying 50+ lbs Bending, kneeling, crawling, and working in tight areas like attics and crawl spaces What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Company vehicle (for Lead Installers) Paid time off + holidays Health, dental, and vision benefits Ongoing training and career development A supportive, team-first work environment Real opportunities for advancement as we grow Why Mountain Air? Requirements

  • 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (new construction preferred)
  • Leadership experience or readiness to step into a lead role
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and installation best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • EPA Certification (required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
