A private household in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain the home to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong cleaner who takes pride in their work, follows direction well, and is comfortable working in a home with dogs. The ideal candidate is hardworking, honest, dependable, and able to work efficiently while helping keep the household clean, organized, and running smoothly on a daily basis.

Requirements

Strong housekeeping and cleaning skills

Comfortable around dogs and not afraid of pets
Takes direction well and is willing to follow household preferences
Minimum 3+ solid years of housekeeping experience in a large high net worth private home.
Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
Ability to work independently.
Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Valid Driver's license, clean driving record and a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

Perform detailed daily housekeeping and maintain the home in clean, neat, and well-organized condition
Clean and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas to a high standard
Make beds and change linens
Handle household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, ironing as needed, and putting items away
Manage daily dishwashing and maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen
Maintain overall tidiness and help keep the home guest-ready
Organize closets, drawers, cabinets, and household spaces as needed
Monitor basic household cleaning supplies and inform the family when items are running low
Assist with occasional dry cleaning pick-up as needed
Follow household instructions and preferences carefully
Help ensure the home is consistently well-kept and running smoothly
