About The Position

EXL, through its Castle High Value and EXL Risk Control service offerings, partners with commercial and personal line insurance carriers to provide field appraisal, inspection, and risk control services. Castle High Value specializes in high value residential insurance surveys nationwide. The company is seeking self-directed independent contractors for the Manassas, VA area, covering a territory of approximately 70 miles. This role involves working from a home or office to service physical survey/inspection assignments. While experience in real estate, insurance, inspection, construction, or appraising is a plus, all interested candidates are encouraged to apply, as a 15-hour online training course is available for certification. Fees are negotiable based on experience and job specifics. The contractor will schedule and conduct both site-based and virtual High Value Home property surveys for homeowners’ insurance. This requires managing accepted assignments, coordinating surveys within one's own schedule, and possessing solid computer skills for web-based report completion. The position offers flexibility and independent work, appealing to those with an interest in real estate, construction, or interior design.

Responsibilities

• Professionally interact over the phone, via email, and in-person with homeowners and insurance agents
• Conduct on-site and/or virtual property surveys on high value homes as per customer specific guidelines and procedures
• Identify and document the construction materials/characteristics and unique features of the home
• Obtain measurements of the home and other structures on the property
• Generate an estimated replacement value of the home, and identify major hazards
• Communicate the information gathered during on-site inspection in the provided web-based client requested forms accessed through the Castle website
