About The Position

The Residential Helper, under direction of the Residential Supervisor, empties company issued residential waste receptacles for Tiger Sanitation customers.

Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
• Ability to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for our customers, employees, and community
• Actively demonstrates Tiger Sanitation’s core values in daily tasks and communications: Professionalism, Respect, Accountability and Communication
• Ability to demonstrate decision making skills that align with Tiger Sanitation’s 4 Step Decision Making Process
• Ability to collaborate with coworkers
• Ability to prioritize activities in order to achieve, individual and team, expectations and goals
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year minimum experience within the sanitation industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist driver with Pre and Post trip
• Gathers and carries containers from individual yards of locations along route and empties refuse containers onto truck
• Starts hoisting device that raises refuse bin attached to rear truck
• Dumps contents into opening in enclosed tuck body
• Gathers separated recycling materials and dumps them into recycling bins on garbage truck
• Assists in unloading and cleaning garbage truck at dump site
