Residential Group Life Manager I provides supervision and guidance to youths residing in a facility, operated by the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services. Residential Group Life Manager I functions as the supervisor for a shift of direct care workers for the entire facility. Ensures safety and security of facility. Oversees 24 hour facility schedule is being followed. Responsible for addressing concerns and reporting of incidents. Ensures services are being provided within guidelines of the Department policies and facility procedures. This position has full responsibility for the group life program during specified shifts, to include planning and scheduling work assignments of other employees working directly with youth. This includes first-line supervisors. This position is responsible for standards of performance and continuity of training of assigned personnel and with their adherence to facility and departmental policies. The position is assigned a regular shift but may be required to work other shifts, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required by staffing needs. The incumbent may be subject to call-in based on staffing needs.
