Residential Glass Technician
About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Residential Glass Technician to join our team. This role is well-suited for candidates with general construction, installation, or trade experience who are comfortable using hand and power tools and working in residential environments. Prior glass or glazing experience is a plus but not required — on-the-job training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of residential glass products while delivering professional service and maintaining clean, safe work areas.
Requirements
- Any construction, installation, remodeling, or trade-related experience preferred
- Experience using hand and power tools required
- Willingness to learn residential glass and glazing techniques
- Basic math skills and ability to take accurate measurements
- Safety-minded with the ability to work carefully around glass and finished surfaces
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials safely with assistance as needed
- Comfortable working in residential settings and interacting with customers
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday

Responsibilities
- Travel to residential job sites to assist with glass installation and repair work
- Measure and prepare materials under guidance; follow basic job instructions and layouts
- Use hand and power tools (drills, grinders, levels, saws, etc.) safely and effectively
- Assist with installing windows, doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, and other glass products
- Remove damaged or broken glass and dispose of materials safely
- Apply sealants, caulking, gaskets, or weatherproofing materials as trained
- Help lift, position, align, and secure glass and framing components safely
- Inspect completed work for proper fit, appearance, and stability
- Protect surrounding surfaces and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles; report any safety concerns or damage
- Follow all company safety policies and use always required PPE
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and team members
