About The Position

Napthens’ Preston office is seeking experienced Conveyancers, Residential Conveyancing Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) or experienced fee earners to join their friendly, expert team. Requirements

  • Experience running your own residential conveyancing caseload
  • Strong drafting and title review skills
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • A proactive, commercially aware mindset
  • Great communication and client care skills
  • Comfort working independently and juggling deadlines
  • Competence with case management systems and IT

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with leasehold, new build or complex titles

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own varied caseload from instruction to post completion
  • Handle sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds and shared ownership
  • Investigate title and prepare clear, accurate reports
  • Draft contracts, TR1/TP1s, completion statements and other key documentation
  • Drive transactions forward proactively, keeping clients informed and agents happy
  • Manage exchange and completion with precision
  • Handle all post completion work including SDLT and Land Registry submissions
  • Communicate clearly, professionally and regularly with clients, agents, lenders and brokers
  • Build brilliant relationships with clients, agents, lenders and brokers
  • Keep everyone updated before they ever need to chase
  • Handle queries quickly and calmly, even when the pressure’s on
  • Keep a transaction moving forward
  • Meet AML, ID and source of funds requirements
  • Produce spotless client care and case documentation
  • Keep case management notes accurate and up to date
  • Help the department maintain low requisition and complaint rates
  • Manage WIP, billing and aged debt
  • Record time accurately
  • Meet monthly fee targets with confidence
  • Keep write offs to a minimum
  • Maintain warm relationships with referrers
  • Support Business Development (BD) initiatives and attend networking events
  • Help cross sell wider firm services
  • Support junior colleagues and share knowledge
  • Contribute to improving processes and best practice
