About The Position

Residential Construction Superintendent The Construction Superintendent plays a key, hands-on role in maintaining site organization, supporting field operations, and driving projects through to completion. This person ensures that job sites are clean, safe, and running efficiently, while maintaining strong communication with subcontractors, clients, and the project management team. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and take pride in delivering top-quality resultsespecially during the final stages of each project. Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in residential construction as a carpenter or superintendent
  • Technical understanding of residential construction including building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand Architectural plan sets (all disciplines)
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Capable of problem solving and dealing and experience with complex detailed projects
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for material runs.
  • (Truck preferred)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all times.
  • Oversee subcontractors on-site to ensure work meets company quality standards and timelines.
  • Pick up, deliver, and stage materials and supplies as needed to keep projects running smoothly.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to identify and address site issues proactively.
  • Take ownership of the project closeout processcompleting punch lists, following up on details, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with the construction manager and clients regarding progress, needs, and next steps.
  • Keep accurate notes, photos, and updates in project management software (CoConstruct or similar).
  • Track and confirm that completed work aligns with plans and specifications.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
