Our program is growing, and we’re looking to hire additional team members! The purpose of the Residential Coach position is to provide direct care supervision/welfare of clients while ensuring safety and protection of their human rights in accordance with agency policies and procedures. This involves building therapeutic relationships with the residents and being involved in their programming and treatment goals. We have remarkable outcomes with our residents and operate with a 4:1 staff to resident ratio. We offer extensive programming including life-skills, soft skills, recreational therapy, group therapy and fun outings too! Requirements

Bachelors degree in Human Service preferred
Ideal candidate has a Bachelors degree in Human Services with six or more months experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting.
Bachelors degree in Human Services related degrees: Psychology, School Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, Sociology, Child Development, Behavioral Sciences, Art Therapy, Education, Early Childhood Development, Nursing, Gerontology, Child & Family Studies, Community Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy, Music Therapy, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Recreation (in accordance with QMHP approved degree list)

Responsibilities

build trusting and therapeutic relationships with clients in order to facilitate the client's motivation/ability to change and to trust that the Treatment Plan is desirable and productive using caring and consistent social interactions.
Monitor, supervise, guide clients to ensure safety, support and behavioral management, and accurately document clients' behavior to communicate clients' behavior, staff interventions and outcomes
