About The Position

The Residential Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical and task supervision of the clinical therapists providing therapy services within the Youth Residential Center. Holds administrative duties such as coordination and assignment of caseloads, monitoring and oversight of services, and assisting in supporting the achievement of program and organizational performance goals. Works cooperatively with other departments within the Youth Residential Center as well as community agencies and resources. The supervisor may manage a caseload as appropriate to the needs of the program.

Requirements

  • MSW and/or Master's degree in a related Counseling Program (Related fields will be considered.)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Social Work, Counseling or a related field. (For positions that manage staff, the years specified need to be progressive years of management experience. For all positions, the years required can be interchanged with equivalent experience from an advanced degree related to this job and/or with other relevant experience verified by applicant/incumbent).
  • LCSW/LCPC/LMFT- qualified LPHA
  • Access to reliable transportation to get to/from work
  • Access to a reliable automobile
  • Must provide proof of auto liability insurance (and continue to while working in this position)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy (Related fields will be considered.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision, training and support for all therapists working within the Youth Residential Center.
  • Provide clinical oversight, feedback, and final approval for all: IM+CANS, treatment plans, progress notes, and external reports for all unlicensed staff.
  • Monitor staff performance, ethical practice, training needs and service delivery practices.
  • Ensure staff complete required documentation following legal, regulatory and accrediting requirements.
  • Maintain records and monitor client payments/billings per agency policy.
  • Ensure counseling staff meet their service requirements of a minimum of 9 hours of individual/family therapy and 1 hour of group therapy per week through coaching, problem-solving, and weekly supervision.
  • Ensure the completion of safety assessments. Ensure that individualized safety plans are completed and implemented as needed within the program.
  • Manage regional workflow processes related to clinical therapy services. Oversight of program operations and performance related to counseling, including audits and funder reviews.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts within program and participates in agency-wide quality assurance/improvement and risk management efforts.
  • Investigate customer service concerns or complaints; works with Leadership and involved staff to identify and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Provides training to staff within the Youth Residential Center on clinical topics.
  • Oversees and ensures 24/7 on-call clinical consultation and responses as needed.
  • Promote good public relations within the community; sustains good working relationships with interrelated agencies to facilitate referrals and cooperation on individual cases.
  • Attend appropriate administrative meetings and continuing education workshops and seminars to update techniques and maintains necessary levels of program specific knowledge and enhance counseling skills.
  • Provide counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups. Including the completion of initial mental health assessments and the development of appropriate goals and treatment plans for each client.
