About The Position

Oversees student activities, maintains order in dorms, maintains accurate records, provides individual guidance to students, oversees housekeeping, and maintains accountability system for each student in compliance with the Bureau of Indian Affairs regulations.

Requirements

• High school education; or general education degree (GED). Must have at least 32 college hours and/or equivalent certifications/trainings in fields related to working with children. Such as Child Development, education, behavioral sciences or cultural studies. Or must obtain NCRYS Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Certification within 90 days of hire.
• An additional one year experience working with adolescents is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
• Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
