Residential Architectural Designer
About The Position
Seeking person to work primarily in office designing new homes, additions, and remodeling in a community of diverse architectural styles. We are looking for a person to progress into lead designer role in an established and highly respected custom design-build residential construction company. This position will offer an opportunity to play a major role in the company's future, for the right candidate. Work will include: ~ Designing several major projects each year, and also smaller ones and custom cabinetry ~ In person interaction with clients during the design process ~ Supporting the construction teams with architectural and engineering problem solving ~ Creating client-pleasing and reputation building projects ~ Specification writing
Requirements
- A passion for residential architecture in all styles
- Ability to listen well
- Space planning knowledge
- Construction and structural knowhow
- CAD drafting skills
- Good with people, and with quickly wining their confidence
- Direct experience in construction strongly preferred, or willing to get this in job training
