About The Position

Residential Alarm Technician needs to support service/install tickets in Cincinnati (x1) Technician will perform the Services outlined in the work order using web-based ticket tool, “Aces”. Job Order will include, time and location of the appointment, the customer or contact’s name, specific work to be performed, and the anticipated length of the appointment. Jobs can include intrusion alarm installaiton, installation of panel, monitoring sensors, Wireless Cameras, Smart home devices etc. Experience installing and programming Honeywell, Quolsosys, or concord 4 panels is required Complete Job Order following the completion checklist below: • Job preparation (before the committed job start date): Review the Job Order for customer scope requirement and any materials needed. • On the day of the job commitment: Call the customer for an estimated time of arrival (ETA) when enroute (30 minutes prior to arrival) and arrive within the predetermined window. • Enter departure time (En Route time) • When arriving at a customer site, follow the tasks outlined below:  Park in driveway or curbside. Greet customer and display Authorized Contractor badge for identification  Enter “On Site” time in ACES after greeting customer and before starting work  Place system “On Test” to avoid any unnecessary dispatches (do this for all systems you will be servicing/installing when on site). • Using the three (3) different scopes outlined below, select the appropriate scope based on the “Site/Job Type” identified in the Job Order: Scope 1: All residential service and commercial burglar alarms (excluding fire service): o Complete the procedures for the Job Order(s)  If completing a Job Order at a National Account site, log into any referenced Interactive Voice Response (IVR), following the steps indicated in the Job Order. If experiencing issues, contact Sub Dispatch team.  If the scope of work matches the Job Order, complete the activity and be sure to test-in the device serviced. The zone or device being serviced must be tested successfully and signals verified to prove functionality.  If the scope of work differs from the Job Order, additional time or scope approvals can be authorized by calling Sub Dispatch team at (866) 232-9906, Option #1  Fill out Job Order and have the customer sign for acknowledgement of completion via ACES Scope 2: New residential installations/panel swaps and commercial panel swaps: o Complete the procedures for the Job Order(s)  Verify in Aces that customer has signed their install agreement prior to start work.  If customer refuses to sign agreement, please contact Sub Dispatch team at (866) 232-9906, Option #1 or the number listed beside the link to sign agreement.  All zones & panics (including duress) must be tested into central station and verified by calling Data Entry at (866) 232-9906, Option #3  Data Entry will give a one-time confirmation number that indicates all zones and panics have been tested and verified successfully  Install two (2) Yard Signs and window stickers as desired on new installations  Educate customer on app and devices installed  Fill out Job Order using the ‘Complete Job’ button Inventory - collected each week form Protection branch location Contractor is responsible for obtaining a proof of acceptance of inventory, maintaining accurate inventory levels. Inventory will be checked regularly and contractor must close jobs with the correct inventory recorded for each job in ACES Mileage is not payable from home to first job, or from last job to home. This is the contractors commute to work. Mileage is payable from job to job. Mileage must be recorded accurately and submitted to TEKsystems Global Services eevery week for payment.

Requirements

  • Experience installing and programming Honeywell, Quolsosys, or concord 4 panels is required
  • Experience in alarm installation in residential settings is needed for this role.
  • Experience with alarm panels, security systems such as 2Gig and Alarm.com are necessary
  • Experience with wiring in a residential setting
  • Experience installation devices such as door bell, automatic locks, cameras, monitoring sensors, door contacts etc
